Before After
This project was a little different. The object of this project was to take a photo and successfully add new elements to the picture. I add the two girls tubing down the river. On the girls I brightened the picture, used the burn tool, erased part of the hand--so it looks like its in the water, and I add a drop shadow. I add the Welcome to Colorado sign. I used several tools on the sign to make it look like it belonged. A few tools I used was the burn, the lighting direction, and i added a drop shadow. If you look closely on one of the rocks there is a post card laying on it. I had to wrap the card around the rock and fix the color for it to look like it belonged in the picture. I also lightened and add contrast to the main picture.
As you can see on the before picture there are several blemishes. There are some toren spots and part of the glass is showing. The color is off as well. I used the spot healing tool and the patch tool to fix most of the blemishes. To fix the color I used several different tools. I mainly used the levels tool, the brightness and contrast tool, and the hue/saturation tool.
Before After
This picture was a little easier to fix then the previous picture. There are not as many blemishes to fix. I removed the time and date from the right side of the picture using the patch tool and the spot healing tool. The main thing that was wrong with this picture is the color. I used several tools to fix the color. I mainly used the levels tool, the hue/saturation tool, shadows and highlights, and the brightness/contrast tool.
Book Cover
The object of this project was to recreate a book cover or a book that we had read. We created this project from scratch. I took the castle and flipped it to look like the other side of the castle for the back of the book. I wanted to make the back castle look more creepy then the front castle. I did this effect by adding a light red outer glow to the back of the castle. I took the girl from the original book cover and added an artistic filter to it.
